Yannick Benoit Quartet is a French modern jazz fusion band. ‘Future Is In The Field’ is one of 11 compositions (track 3) on the album ‘Le Repère’ (‘The Happy Father’), released on 6 March 2024 by Welcome Home and distributed by Socadisc Distribution. This composition is a hymn to agriculture and consumption that respects the earth. It reprises the harmonic progressions of Eddie Harris's ‘Don't You Know Future Is In The Space’ and JD Allen's 3/4 time signature.

The original tune ‘And It Rains’ from the album 'Ravel in the Forest' was inspired by the sound of raindrops on the forest canopy. For this meditative rework, Sinemis (the new solo project of Circassian-Turkish producer Sine Buyuka) has taken key layers from the original track and created a beautifully luring and mysterious space for the listeners to fall into.
